TRAXXAS is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join its Marketing department. This position will be a key member of the Marketing team and will help bring to life marketing initiatives that build loyalty and engage consumers to take action on-line and in stores. The Social Media Specialist will lead the planning, and execution within social media platforms in support of all TRAXXAS products. This position will work with cross-functional members of the organization to define, plan and execute long-term social engagement solutions as well as create messaging for marketing campaigns and other social communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop strategy, manage & execute the integration of new media channels to existing media mix to maximize productivity of the online marketing channel and to increase visibility to target customers
  • Oversee strategic and tactical social programs including content creation for multiple social channels, updates, photo selection, proofreading and overall brand consistency across social platforms
  • Build the Traxxas Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and future platform fan bases and engage users on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to develop social media content
  • Actively assist consumers with support through messaging and comments
  • Monitor social conversations and engagement across all social networks
  • Responsible for brand consistency across communication channels to ensure accuracy, quality and a single look and feel in the marketplace
  • Search for relevant thought leaders and organizations to follow and engage with
  • Track and collect relevant social media metrics for brand platforms and competing brands, and ensure timely, effective and efficient reporting of all social media efforts
  • Monitor and report on current trends in social media and new emerging technologies or platforms
  • Maintain the content calendar for all social channels
  • Support other marketing or sales campaigns (events, tradeshows, video shoots, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
  • BA in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or comparable work experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of online marketing experience with 1 to 2 years in social media
  • Requires a passion for digital media and intense curiosity about the future of how consumers interact with each other, consume and engage with content, and develop affinity to brands online
  • Strategic thinker with ability to generate ideas and work with minimal guidance
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute social marketing programs
  • Ability to blendi analytical and creative thinking
  • Must possess an excellent understanding of social media, experience creating strategic social media programs and the ability to track effectiveness
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Proven ability to write creatively, specifically in social media communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; good copy-writing/editing skills
  • Proven experience successfully managing projects from strategy development through execution
  • Self-motivated; results oriented. Ability to effectively self-direct and prioritize work

    This is an on-site, FT position located in our McKinney HQ five days a week. Candidates must be self-motivated, organized and able to work both within a team and independently. Must also be dependable and well-rounded individuals with flexible schedules (some travel required).
